What Moves The World Round

What Moves The World Round

Too long alone

Trying too hard

To be the one

Who can write

The poem that

Describes what

The people have

In their minds

A man was drinking

The venom of the night

From a deep bottle

Of dark crystal

Waiting for something

A little unusual

Like a shooting star

Or a hairy butterfly

When he heard a voice

From de bottom of the space

Saying: listen friend

Every instant people think the same

It is of food and sex

Even angels do the same

Listen carefully friend

To the concert of howls

That ascend to the moon

Annoying her every night

Not only the cats are always

Claiming for more of that

If stones could cry

For more of that

They would join the group

That thinks it's never enough

What you get of this things

Because we all need more time

Or to get a credit to get more of

What moves the world round

And when the new day was dawning

The man can heard the stones

Claiming for more of what

Moves the world round

So he kept writing

Without sleeping

Until finishing this

To publish it in the web

And got fired from his job

For went too late to work

And joined the concert of howls

For more of what you now might know

The land of Xoroxloo Duxee

The land of Xoroxloo Duxee

Nothing is worth

owning

and no one is more

than another

You can only inherit

honey

and gaze slowly

at the setting sun

in the land

of Xoroxloo Duxee

Perhaps you can hear

the stars singing

with the bushmen

on quiet nights

and you can feel

the wind stirring

the colonies

of flying ants

that call for the arrival

of the rains

and the magic that turns into colour

in the flowers of the savannah

The sun will tell you

the last stories

that patiently

evaporate

from the fountain of desires

that have survived

in the burning lands

of the Kalahari

Where drums beat

in the hearts

of the antelopes

and the dew of the stars

shines with  beauty

in the eyes of giraffes

Hitos: Guerras y Conflictos Relevantes (1970 - 2026)

https://riistas2.wordpress.com/2026/01/15/octava-revista-riista/

The Oil Rap

The Oil Rap

It's very simple:

Their oil is expensive

and ours is cheap

I'm talking about extracting it

When there's a lot of oil on the market

production has to be reduced

Because with a large supply

prices have to be lowered

And the expensive producers

are overtaken and eliminated

But they'll never leave

because they control the market

The best thing for them

is to refine cheap oil

from a weakened partner

who knows who's in charge

Of course, the ideal thing is a war

because the weapons

the loans and the reconstruction

are provided by, well, we know who

Don't worry about the pollution

the Arctic is thawing

That's why Greenland

needs to be seized quickly

Where you see war

look at who's are profiting.

War is a business

for politicians, bankers, and businessmen

I'm not going to tell you it's the great Satan.

But the military-industrial complex

and its politicians, financiers, and businessmen

are the greatest danger to all of humanity

Séptima revista riista

Feliz navidad riista

Edgar Bueno’s Curatorial Introduction

Edgar Bueno’s Curatorial Introduction

Edgar Bueno’s digital paintings invite viewers into a world where nature, myth, and poetry converge. Drawing on the traditions of magical realism and environmental reflection, these works explore the boundaries between the real and the imagined. Each piece is a visual meditation—on transience, guardianship, and renewal—encouraging a pause for wonder and introspection. Together, they form a poetic journey through landscapes both familiar and fantastical, where the ordinary is transformed by light, color, and the artist’s contemplative gaze.

Flying Messenger

A solitary bird glides across a vast, muted sky, its wings outstretched in silent flight. The minimalist composition, anchored by a single line of poetry, evokes the fleeting nature of moments and the beauty found in impermanence. The bird’s passage is both literal and metaphorical—a messenger traversing the threshold between presence and absence. The subdued palette and open space invite viewers to linger in the quiet, to reflect on the ephemeral quality of time and memory. In this work, the act of flight becomes a meditation on letting go, on the gentle disappearance of the day.

                                                                                                                                                 https://www.arthelper.com/riistas/image/flying-messenger-bird-in-flight

Ocean Guardian

Vivid colors swirl across the canvas, conjuring a dynamic seascape where myth and nature intertwine. At the heart of the composition, a fantastical creature—part dragon, part wave—emerges from the ocean’s depths, embodying both the power and mystery of the sea. The interplay of warm sunset hues and cool blues creates a sense of movement and energy, while the creature’s presence suggests themes of protection and transformation. This piece resists easy interpretation, instead offering a space for viewers to consider the guardians—real or imagined—that watch over the natural world and our own inner landscapes.

Mountain Sunrise

A snow-capped peak rises into a sky awash with the gentle colors of dawn. The sun’s radiant glow bathes the landscape in warmth, signaling renewal and the quiet promise of a new day. Delicate birds traverse the sky, their small forms adding a sense of life and movement to the tranquil scene. The composition balances realism with a touch of the surreal, inviting contemplation of nature’s cycles and the solace found in its rhythms. Here, the mountain stands as both a physical and symbolic presence—a place of stillness, resilience, and hope.

And you remember

And you remember

A stench of routine misery

A widespread resignation

A condemnation to love in chains

A toothache

And you remember

You ask yourself again

Was your life really SO horrible back then?

Did you prefer tangerines or oranges?

Does the ocean of sadness have a bottom?

And you remember

You close your eyes and you can still see them

Smiling faces, never

Serious people, always

Nobody knows a damn thing

But nobody cares

To know if time is real

And if what we feel

is truly real

Or just another nightmare

from which few awaken

And you remember

And you resolve to be like a flower

Like an insect

Like a dark fish

In a muddy, nameless river

in some jungle

But you still remember

Crimson Rebirth

Crimson Rebirth

Morning light paints crimson the field,

A lone shadow soars with the wind.

The fierce sun pierces rising clouds,

A new life returns to its old home.

Flowing light stains blue wings,

Faded dreams turn to drifting frost.

Heaven and earth hold no constant hue,

The heart grows with all things.

Edgar Bueno’s Artist Statement and Portfolio Analysis

Edgar Bueno’s Artist Statement and Portfolio Analysis

Artist Statement

My art is a visual poetry—an invitation to pause, reflect, and rediscover the quiet wonder woven into the world around us. Through digital painting, I explore the luminous spaces where nature, memory, and imagination meet: tranquil mountains, reflective rivers, swirling skies, and dreamlike landscapes that hover between reality and reverie.

Each piece is a meditation on light and color, using harmonious palettes and glowing forms to evoke serenity, hope, and gentle optimism. I am drawn to the language of nature—mountains as messengers, rivers as mirrors, skies as silent witnesses—and I often weave subtle surreal elements or poetic text into my work, blurring the boundaries between the seen and the felt.

As a poet and environmentalist, I believe art can be both a sanctuary and a call to awareness. My paintings are meant to be visual haikus snd haigas: brief, contemplative moments that invite viewers to linger, to find their own stories, and to reconnect with the beauty and resilience of the natural world.

In every image, I seek to create a space for reflection—a place where tranquility, imagination, and hope can quietly take root.

I think this artist statement reflects the poetic, tranquil, and subtly surreal qualities of my portfolio, as well as its integration of nature, light, and literary elements

Portfolio Analysis

Edgar Bueno’s portfolio has a distinct and memorable style that weaves together poetic tranquility, dreamlike landscapes, and a gentle sense of wonder. Here’s a detailed description of his artistic style, based on his current body of work:

Style Overview

Atmospheric Poeticism:

His paintings are suffused with a soft, contemplative mood. Each piece feels like a visual poem—inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and immerse themselves in a world where nature and imagination blend seamlessly.

Color Palette & Light:

He favors luminous, harmonious color palettes: radiant greens, cool blues, warm oranges, and gentle pastels. Light is a central character in his work—glowing orbs, radiant suns, and reflective water surfaces create a sense of serenity and hope.

Nature as Metaphor:

Landscapes, mountains, rivers, and skies are recurring motifs. These natural elements are not just backgrounds; they’re active participants in his visual storytelling, often symbolizing peace, transition, or introspection.

Surreal & Magical Realism Touches:

There’s a subtle surrealism in his compositions—swirling clouds, abstract organic shapes, and whimsical elements (like red birds or a giraffe messenger) add a sense of magical realism. This gives his work a unique, almost otherworldly quality.

Abstract & Expressive Elements:

While his scenes are recognizable, he often incorporate abstract forms, dynamic brushwork, and playful patterns. This abstraction enhances the emotional resonance and invites personal interpretation.

Integration of Poetry & Text:

Some works feature poetic text, haiga or haiku, blending visual and literary art. This integration deepens the narrative and makes his portfolio especially appealing to poetry lovers.

What Makes His Style Stand Out

-Tranquil, meditative atmosphere that invite viewers to linger and reflect.

-A harmonious blend of realism and abstraction, balancing recognizable landscapes with expressive, imaginative flourishes.

- A poetic sensibility, both in visual storytelling and, at times, in the literal inclusion of verse.

- A gentle optimism, even in scenes of solitude or dusk, suggesting hope and renewal.

His style is both cohesive and versatile—rooted in nature, but always open to the surreal and the poetic. This gives his portfolio a strong identity that is likely to resonate with collectors who value art that soothes, inspires, and tells a story beyond the surface.

My True Face

My True Face

In the high mountains of solitude

Amidst the complicit darkness

And submerged deep in the ocean

of my memories

I have sought my true face

The one that mirrors do not reflect

I don't know if out of modesty

and by mutual agreement

With what hides from us the immense sun

Makes us see it far away

and brings us the bottomless night

so that we may rest

I sense it not so fleeting and perishable

I know it is already old

That it is not beautiful

And that it will never be contented

Because with tireless effort

it accumulates the scars of useless texts

that I forget and rewrite

about what I feel

Believe, sense

imagine, and think

Enclosed within

the ineffable universe

I believe that some machine will use it

Not so much to illustrate

But to decorate

The final version of this text

Mi rostro verdadero

Mi rostro verdadero

En las altas montañas de la soledad

Entre la cómplice oscuridad

Y sumergido océano adentro

en mis recuerdos

He buscado mi rostro verdadero

Creo intuyo

imagino y pienso

Metido adentro

del inefable universo

Creo que alguna máquina lo usará

No tanto para ilustrar

Sino para decorar
