Caribbean Skies
Nothing so far from ice
Even if sometimes you can see
At noon the whitish of sea
The salt comes from the sweat
Of a drunken dark skinned
Happy dancing crowd
Nothing so close to heaven
The dullest seabird can tell
you
Mountains ain't a good place
to be
Where the sweetest sugarcane
grows
Is where rum flows
Like a warm and sunny rain
Beneath the favorable omen
Of the Caribbean skies
Me deserves to be for a long
while
Para Elia
