From DNA to civilizations

Information always grows

There has never been noise and there never will be

Eternal the silent sidereal music always sounds

Between the harmony that the fractals rotate

crystallizes in the fabric of memory

the salt of the sea of possibility

Sometimes I imagine a crystal

able to assimilate its unreality

Trying to recognize itself with cameras and

mirrors

But it don’t see himself in its reflection

It seems to him that it is just an unreal mirage

Because it is much more than memories, bones, salt and coral.

Because it is much more than its neural network

Because the sum of its components is less than its totality

And the conscious individual seems tragic and comic to it

while slowly sinks into the ocean of possibility

About Caribbean torpor

Not predatory

Not scavenger

Guardian only

Today I saw a dog die

in a video

Nobody was afraid

Not even who killed him

Not even his companions

Had a steady pulse

who recorded the video

Much less the domestic wolf

He attacked quickly and head on.

He withstood two rifle shots

He died attacking with the third

He got himself killed for his home

A home that he did not own

Very few dogs have land ownership papers

They don't think either

They act on instinct

Experts say

I do not believe that any rabbi, priest, imam, preacher or pastor

Can accuse the dog of being a sinner

It was his instinct they will say

I shall add this:

It was fierce, sacred, and beautiful

Like a jaguar fang

Like the glyph that sometimes distinguishes their skins

That is the sign of perfection

Which must necessarily be eternal

and act without haste

My country is young

Very short of memories

We know almost nothing before Spanish

We know very little about before Bolívar

About the Indians and the blacks we make fools of ourselves

We are not capable of perennial love or hatred

Why fight over something that happened so long ago?

Few know the names of all their great-grandparents

We have neither monarchy nor nobility

Just some nouveau riche who live far away

The Indians around here did not build pyramids or empires

I think because of the Caribbean torpor

I think that rubbed off on whites and blacks.

And then with mestizaje we mulattoes perfected Caribbean antiparabolism

That in light of the facts is not so uncivilized nor so ugly

From my humble perspective

The ground that is fought over there with so much effort

It's a piece of desert

Drier than the driest of dried leathers

And uglier than the ugliest of camels

Of course I also saw the civil father

swearing at something in the sky

while he was holding his dead baby

And I didn't see them but I can imagine them playing with their new toys

to the military engineer and the expert advisor

But since this is taking too long, I'm going to have to leave it here

Wishing them reach some agreement there

May they solve all their problems with justice and peace

May they be very happy there and if they want we will help them

But from afar

Acerca del sopor caribeño

No rapaz

No carroñero

Solo guardián

Hoy vi morir a un perro

en un vídeo

Nadie tuvo miedo

Ni quien lo mató

Ni sus compañeros

Tenía el pulso firme

quien grabó el vídeo

Mucho menos el lobo doméstico

Atacó veloz y de frente

Resistió dos tiros de fusil

Murió atacando con el tercero

Se hizo matar por su hogar

Un hogar del que no era dueño

Tienen papeles de propiedad de la tierra muy pocos perros

Tampoco piensan

Actúan por instinto

Dicen los expertos

No creo que ningún rabino, sacerdote, imán, predicador o pastor

Pueda acusar de pecador a un perro

Fue su instinto dirán

Yo agregaré esto:

Fue feroz, sagrado y bello

Como un colmillo de jaguar

Como el glifo que a veces les distingue la piel

Que es el signo de lo perfecto

Que necesariamente debe ser eterno

y actuar sin apresuramientos

Es joven mi país

Muy corto de recuerdos

De antes del español casi nada sabemos

De antes de Bolívar muy poco sabemos

De lo de los indios y los negros nos hacemos los pendejos

No somos capaces de amores ni de odios perennes

¿Para que pelear por algo que pasó hace tanto tiempo?

Pocos saben el nombre de todos sus bisabuelos

Ni monarquía ni nobleza tenemos

Solo algunos nuevos ricos que viven lejos

Los indios de por aquí no hicieron pirámides ni imperios

Creo que por lo del sopor caribeño

Creo que a los blancos y a los negros se les pegó eso

Y luego con el mestizaje los mulatos perfeccionamos el antiparabolismo caribeño

Que a la luz de los hechos no es tan incivilizado ni tan feo

Desde mi humilde perspectiva

El terreno que se pelean por allá con tanto empeño

Es un pedazo de desierto

Más seco que el más seco de los cueros secos

Y más feo que el más feo de los camellos

Claro que también vi al padre civil

imprecándole a algo en el cielo

mientras cargaba a su bebé muerto

Y no los vi pero los puedo imaginar jugando con sus juguetes nuevos

al ingeniero militar y al asesor experto

Pero como esto me está quedando muy largo lo voy a tener que dejar hasta acá

Deseándoles que logren algún acuerdo por allá

Que resuelvan todos sus problemas con justicia y paz

Que sean muy felices por allá y si quieren los ayudamos

Pero desde lejos

Somewhere in the Universe

I can imagine you

at the edge of the galaxy

spinning in the eddies

of hydrogen and helium

at the same moment

that you hear

the ringing of the bells of glass

again and again

on a distant planet

All of the stars

and the sea shells

Legions of ants

The mirage of the desert

The echo in the cave

The breeze on the cliff

The glow of lightning

The sound of thunder

Each thing in its place

I can imagine you contemplating

the harmony of the entire universe

Listening with amazement your theories

Sharing the fantasy of every drop

that ventures to the horizon

and then vanish

through the window’s glass

I can assure you

that out there

smells like wet earth

Mis Textos Chavistas V2- Conclusiones

Esto me quedó muy panfletario y los riistas decimos que somos gente corriente que trata de hacerle poesía y que reverencia a la vida, así que voy a incluir un Poema de Adriana Herrera, ella es una joven madre y creo que su Poema a su muñeca de trapo lo va a entender cualquier madre joven del mundo, y se va a conmover, y va a entender que al igual que ella, Adriana está tratando de vivir su vida y de levantar su familia sin perjudicar a nadie.

Para demostrar que los riistas somos gente de paz, revolucionarios y chéveres voy a meter un texto de Vilma también, ella es una abogada muy seria y profesional y se lanza sus Poemas de vez en cuando.

Creo que Cristóbal, Ana Gloria, Marlon y Quiaragua no se molestaran si no meto textos de ellos aquí y si se molestan de repente sacamos otro número especial de la revista riista solo para poemas Chavistas.

Voy a meter de ñapa un poema medio lírico mío para que vean que yo también intento ser poeta serio y no escribo solo panfletos políticos.

Y también voy a incluir uno de Edgar mi hermano.

Él le ha escrito Poemas a casi todos los parques nacionales de Venezuela, y sabe mucho más que yo de ecología y de nuestra responsabilidad de conservar nuestro tesoro natural para las siguientes generaciones.

Si este librito ayuda en algo a quienes luchan para que tengamos un sistema social justo y libre de explotación de cualquier tipo que genere la mayor suma de felicidad posible para todo el mundo y dan la batalla diaria en sus respectivas trincheras por conservar independiente a Venezuela, me alegraría mucho.

Creo que si a alguien se le olvida por qué estamos luchando, solo hace falta que vea un tepuy o la cara de un niño de cerro.

Y ya saben que si no voy a las marchas ni a las reuniones es porque estoy muy ocupado haciendo lo que hacen los escritores :-)
