IN THE RIVER OF ETERNITY

 

 

IN THE RIVER OF ETERNITY

On the top of the mountain

swallows flutter

alongside the dry leaves

invoking spells

of ash and time

Magic dances in the breeze

with its flower flutes

of quartz silica

scales feathers

guava and tamarind

Clouds and rainbows bloom

so the rains

with their spores

open the locks

of moss and lichen

that wakes up

the pebbles of the river

For the sand

It is only the beginning

of a long journey

because it will burn again and again

in the glow of the stars

so that the macaws

sing again

on the banks of other rivers

on other planets

through the infinite skies

of the gardens of the universe
