IN YOUR HOME
Leave the door open
so the shadow
of the tree with its trills
and the aroma of its flowers enters
Let the pollen of the mountain ranges
come in through the window
with frosts of frailejon
and songs with quenas
Let the sun's rays
pass through the kitchen
and climb into the frying pan
so they roast
the corn and the wheat
Let the living room get wet
with the foam of the sea
and the coming and going of its waves
flood the hanging pictures
with whale songs
Let the river flow
so the water and the clay mix
in the wonder of the jar
Let your happiness pass
the good things
The moon with its fireflies
your love, your friendship
your songs, your poems
Let the books
of the library wake up
and narrate beautiful things
let them sneak through the chimney
and condense with the clouds
so peace may rain
in every corner
of our beloved planet
