SONG OF THE TREES
They calculate beneath the earth
the age of time
that withers
and is reborn
with the songs
of the cicadas
and the winter rains
They sing with the breeze
that stirs on the wings
of the bees
so that blue
and ultraviolet
may permeate the mountain
of acacia and orange blossom
Beside the aurora borealis
they tinge the sunsets in autumn
with annatto and saffron
Far from the deserts
resigned to the solitude
of the fireflies
so that the spirit
of each tree may shine
in the soul of each forest
They sing with the breeze
that stirs on the wings
of the bees
so that blue and ultraviolet
may permeate the mountain
of acacia and orange blossom
so that blue and ultraviolet
may permeate the mountain
acacia and orange blossom
CANCIÓN DE LOS ÁRBOLES
Calculan bajo
la tierra
la edad del tiempo
que se marchita
y renace
con las canciones
de las cigarras
y las lluvias del invierno
Cantan con la brisa
que se agita en las alas
de las abejas
para que el azul
y el ultravioleta
impregnen la montaña
de acacia y azahar
Junto a la aurora boreal
tiñen en otoño los ocasos
de onoto y azafrán
Lejos de los desiertos
resignados a la soledad
de las luciérnagas
para que resplandezca
el espíritu de cada árbol
en el alma de cada bosque
Cantan con la brisa
que se agita en las alas
de las abejas
para que el azul
y el ultravioleta
impregnen la montaña
de acacia y azahar
para que el azul
y el ultravioleta
impregnen la montaña
de acacia y azahar
