CANTO A LAS AVES   

Hay colores que

desafían la gravedad

para desearnos

un buen día con trocitos   

de canciones 

salpicadas con rayos de sol 

y aromas del jardín 

Desmenuzan las tardes

con melodías de miel

para liberar la soledad

que llevamos enjaulada 

en nuestros corazones

Es el alma de la naturaleza 

con sus plumas 

de mil colores 

que vuela hasta tu ventana 

para que te escuches 

a tí mismo y puedas mirarte 

en ese otro espejo 

donde lo maravilloso 

se disuelve en la monotonía 

donde lo maravilloso

There are colors that

defy gravity

to wish us

a good day with snatches

of songs

flecked with sunbeams

and garden scents

They unravel the afternoons

with honeyed melodies

to set free the loneliness

we keep caged

within our hearts

It is the soul of nature

with its feathers

of a thousand colors

flying to your window

so you may hear

yourself and look at your reflection

in that other mirror

where the wondrous

dissolves into monotony
