About entropy and life

About entropy and life

Trees grow & fall

Seasons recap

Rivers pass

Clouds rain back

Stars im/explode

Light dims & decays

Goodbye and adios

Exist for good reasons

Those who have died

Will never come back

We call it: individuals’ entropy

Another process of life

The repeating sign

The repeating sign

The flower of a common tree
During spring
Until earlier boreal summertime
Repeats some of the infinite possible steps
Of the fractal of the repeating sign

Also a crystal
And a parasite
f some sea mammals
Also commonly found
Below the bottom of boats

It isn´t a cross
People of the new religion
Use it to show comrades
Their faith or better said:
Their lack off

The new sacred book

The new sacred book

Inside & across
The busy streets
Into the labyrinth of corridors
Keen on this uniform unreality

There is a smoke
With an almost imperceptible odor of
A new religion
Without immortals

With new sacred ones:
The ones who comment or add
More articles
To the new sacred book

That is always updated
To our latest
Experiments confirmed
Perception of reality

Generations

Generations

Across the fibers
Through the cables
Of the www

At the speed of light
Is propagating
A new religion

That disbelieves resurrection
But with a perennial celebration
And with an endless love for love

In it
Life after life is
What we add

And stays
At least
Two generations more

To our son’s genetic code
Or to any art, science,
Sport or occupation

Sand grains

Sand grains

Some people says
We’re just
A common kind
Of virus
That swims
A vapor of the mouth
Above the smallest
Sand grain
Of the desert

I’m not in accord
While sand storms
Blow through
The Milky Way

Because I think
I’m a virus
But of the kind that writes
Poems & computer viruses
And maybe some day
Real viruses & real life

Ocean end

Ocean end

The city I live in

And also suffer

Between weekends

Have a lot of places

To go to the beach

Near the airport

They’re too crowded

By the seaport

They’re too polluted

But if you go further

After the rich’s

Houses by the sea

You’ll find ocean end

Please don´t ask me

About what it means

Because it is only the name

For a place so windy

Only the craziest surfers surf

The most bored fishers fish

And of course

Only the stupidest swimmers swim

Any way

If you go there

I think

You’ll in accord with me

That it is the better place to see

That strange kind of human beings:

These who like to see the sea

I like to see them

Smoking different kinds of herbs

And chemical things

Drinking alcoholic and not drinks

Alone in the multitude of sea seers

Too deep inside meditation

To notice you

You can make love in front of them

Without being noticed

By them:

The “sea seers of ocean end

Because they’re always waiting

For the newest mood and color

Of “THE THING

Dollar shaped scares

Dollar shaped scares

Mark my back
And my chest
With the sign of Satan
Even if I’m unemployed
Because I’m accomplice
Of a system that exploit
Humiliate and destroy
Innocent and beautiful
Living beings

Multilevel condo

Multilevel condo

Lower
The deepest worm
That finds food
In the corpses of all of the dead
The rivers drop
On the ocean floor

Higher
The highest wing
In its pole to pole yearly trip
Flying while sleep
Dreaming of a beach
Where the sun never sink

And above
In the nebulae sand storms
And between galaxies
In the void
If there is one

I just can´t imagine
A superior animal
Above the jellyfish
That the Annew people call
“The cell of God”

The king of fishes

The king of fishes

Deep swims the king of fishes
In the darkest part of the oceanic night
So far from the shores
Immune to hurricanes
Ignorant of lines, hooks, rods & men

In the same way
Its oily flesh, white skin and blind eyes
Its cartilages and teeth
Belong to another world
That is not intended for us

Some nights I’ve heard its song
When the wind and the surface of the sea
Were calmed enough
To allow its cavernous voice
To pass across

Please don´t ask me
Why I could know?
But IMHO
It was dreaming of being and fishing for joy
As were almost all of us

The dream of the catfish

The dream of the catfish

My childhood smells like guava
Like milk guava
Like red guava
Like sour guava from Cartago*

My childhood smells like dung
Like turd and like cow
Like ripened badeas and curubas
Like rawhide, cornmeal, sweet cream and milk

My childhood feels
Like a permanent surprise
Like a cold dread at the river
Like a happy trip to Nevado del Ruiz

My childhood is the story of a catfish
That dreams of a boy
Who will always try to catch it
Each time him returns in dreams to Cartago

In a pond with lots of turtles, herons, mosquitoes and mud
But he will never do it
Because his nylon always breaks
Or because he is waked up to another strange world

As I write this
I can imagine the Catfish dreaming
Under the aquatic lilies
Above the mud

Under the last sunlight of today
At the end of twilight
Gobbling the tilapias
That are dreaming of it

Translation of my poem “El sueño del bagre”

Chirps

Chirps

On a leafless tree
! Not yet!! Not yet!
A lonely bird tweets
And flies away

For the spring to bring
Its soft & warm things
The sun and God
Still are remiss

What about me?
Where my nest is?
Where I want to live?
I did think

How can I escape
From this mesh, web or cage?
Those are inside & around me
Always confining me

Like fortune, God or destiny
Trying to sing like an angel
But chirping indeed
Dragging myself along instead

About pets & love

About pets & love

In her well known work about:
The truly and purely random
Distribution of nightly noise
Due to fowls and dogs

Master Zhon wrote:
There is no such thing
As uninterested love
As there is not a rooster’s
First call at the crack of dawn

You can call it a myth
A white lie
A good intention
And a poet’s invention

Someday love will be forbidden
As a drug
A very dangerous one indeed
Believe me please

And pets
Will be accepted
As the beings that are
Soft, warm, cool & beautiful

Maybe someday we’ll meet again
Together against them:
Except us
The whole world population

We just require
A backwards jump in time
A worm’s hole in space
To be together again

In the dark part
Of the same orange sunset
Intoxicated with love
Sharing the same vision:

Double and distorted.
Waiting for the night
To show us it’s magic
To enchant us again

Dry Rat at the park

Dry rat at the park

Here I’ve been
That babe in his babe’s car
And that boy chasing love or sex
Whatever destiny sends
In his brand new jaguar

Who am I? boy
I’m the man who gives you advice
About everything and even more
There must be at least one in every park
By day and night

And someday
I shall be as dry as the rat
That crossed the highway
Prematurely or too late
Or at the wrong place

Have a look around boy

Show me people
Here I’ve been them
Everyone of them my friend
At each age

I’ve never been a hero
But I think sometimes
This park should bear my name
And proudly display my statue
On a horse with a sword

Under the Orion’s belt

Under the Orion’s belt

Another year’s start
With its evaluations and plans
Like a peasant trying to forecast
Floods, wars, crops and Lord´s moods
I’m again below the Orion’s belt

Evaluating my last year’s performance
Begging for money to pay the cards
Trying to figurate what the stars
Will bring to me this year
That has just started

May love show its beautiful face
Or maybe death makes me loose the hand
Of another friend or the mine
I don’t believe I do control my destiny
At least not all of its triggers

Because I know
I’m just a peasant
A sand grain below the stars
The flour for the bread
The world’s leaders bake

I’m just a dime in the market
Another civil on the road to glory
And could be a casualty
In another war to bring justice
To this evil world

I’m praying for the people who lead us
Stay busy enough
Traveling and meeting at their nice places
That they have not enough time
To bake bread with my flour

I’m not asking
They do the work
They are paid for
I’m praying God
No to call their attention

For the rest of the things
I’m in charge
Except maybe for earthquakes
Floods, hurricanes and a long dry
And of course a big stone coming from above

Wishing a happy 2011 to all of us
