FOR ETERNITY

The wonderful trumpet

sounded on the car radio

scaring away the monotony

that was passing

with the breeze

It was definitely Armstrong

Then the horizon

burned in its distance

until the song faded

She waited patiently

while the clouds

loaded with rain

waved to the west

of the highway

Surely waiting

for the rainbow to come out

because it was

in that precious moment

when Ella Fitzgerald

gave us for ever

THE MIRAGE OF REALITY

Inside a huge

concrete nest

decorated with green

marble leaves

and cement twigs

Above the jungle of buildings

with its glass fireflies

the herons fly

and the swallows too

While little by little

with its countdown

the computer patiently

simulates sunsets

orange in color

so that all of the birds

spread its wings of fantasy

over the virtual forests

of a beautiful virtual paradise

UNDER THE SAME SUN

 

 

UNDER THE SAME SUN

With cinnamon and nutmeg

She baked the days

under the same sun

that always waited for Her

with all of its ways

piggybacked

She unearthed sand songs

for crabs

and throw them into the wind

so the swallows

listen in mid-flight

the waves of the sea

I imagine Her as a girl

playing to be happy

before growing up too much

before giving birth to us

before this poem

before She left

and we could always remember Her

under the same sun

THE CHALLENGE OF LIFE

Under lava

And on the glaciers

and permafrost

The mystery about persistence and oblivion

is debated

Inside cell

 Inside its core

Inside mitochondria

Meteorites are conjured

with volcano ash

 

Time that waits and measures

about oceans and dreams

And light

that turns on and off

with the harmony of the stars

Know well that everything changes

 and that all species become extinct
