An Approach to Reality Through Statistics
Note: I was a year late because I prioritized other topics, but the fourth chapter of the Bot Revolution is now ready.

The street lights have been turned on. I can only make out the silhouette of the mountain now, the details of its slopes are too dark to make out. It is the same mountain as always, but it is no longer green. Later it will melt into the night, I will not see it, but I will know that it is there anyway, not by an act of faith, but by trusting statistics. How many mountains have disappeared overnight in the last ten thousand years? This mountain is real and true, I have been there in the augmented virtual synthetic reality (AVSR) and physically as well, but as it is very expensive, dangerous, and tiring, I prefer the AVSR to perceive it with my senses from the location I prefer at any time, and I can also obtain all the information I want from it: from the chemical composition of its minerals to the data from the last census of its insects.
To remove all doubts about the real existence of this mountain, I would only need to physically take my cat to the mountain, but she would surely get bored. She prefers to eat real food in the kitchen and to really sleep on her real armchair. I respect her preferences and I have never managed to influence them in any way. In conclusion: if I have my cat as a witness that something is real, it is most certainly real, because it is proven that she is real since I have in my files the receipt of her purchase and her genetic map that shows that she has more resistance to more viruses than me. Another example: last night a moth came to my bedroom. One hundred and ten floors with hermetically sealed windows cast doubt on the reality of any insect in my apartment, but my cat did not hesitate to eat it when it came within reach and made it disappear so quickly and so completely that it left me doubtful and without proof of the existence of the moth I am telling you about. Now, there are cases in which my cat cannot help me by attesting the real existence of something, for example: What if I see the profile of the mountain and the clouds and I can swear that its configuration is shaped like a dragon. It may be a coincidence, but we are in an election campaign and the favorite party has the dragon as its emblematic animal. I am not connected to the network, I am almost naked, having just gotten out of my obsolete and wasteful bathtub, which is one of my indispensable luxuries. I have been looking through the transparent glass of my window at the sunset, which is an even more indispensable pleasure than bathing with warm drinking water, but my cat cannot help me by attesting to this reality. It may be a hologram, there may be some way to give shape to the clouds, the True Church of God (TCG) has enough resources, need, and desire to maintain itself in the power to modify clouds and many other things. I could start researching all of this in the AVSR and my personal assistant would surely give me the answer in a few seconds, but I am putting all this only as an example of how difficult it has become, in these times of memory implants, to distinguish a simulation from real physical reality. Why have I taken all this trouble and even given examples in the preamble? Very simply, I want this conversation in this forum to attract people who, like me, have no interest in deceiving anyone, because I believe that only by talking with people like this can we eliminate the risks that I see for the population of the entire world in this presidential campaign of the World Organization of Countries (WOC) in which manipulation and deception have reached worrying levels. For example: that the Pope of the TCG has the nerve to appear in a campaign ad dressed in only a fig leaf, on a planet called Eden, under an apple tree full of fruit, telling a woman fifty years younger than him (who is putting grapes in his mouth) to please try not to pay attention to what some snake might say to her (if any were saved from the gardening bots) is already an outrage, but that at the end of the ad an old man with a white beard appears dressed as Santa Claus giving him his blessing and calling him "My dear son", is already beyond the capacity for astonishment of any certified member of the TCG who wants and needs to win these elections and knows that in the polls less than five percent of the electorate is familiar with the symbolism of the religions of the past. My cat has never let herself be put on any helmet or dress with an interface to the AVSR, in any case I do not need to be attested of the unreality of that ad that is a crude and clumsy attempt of deception, which all certified members pay for and which harms us in our noble aspiration to continue leading humanity in the search for Success through the greatest possible Effectiveness and Efficiency in the use of available resources. It is not only the danger that our bets run, which for ethical reasons, and I am almost certain that also for convenience, should be aligned with the victory of our organization's candidate, but also our just aspirations that Success in this campaign rewards our investment in money, time, and effort, are in danger. I make here then my proposal that the results of the surveys of the opposition religions and of the independents being included in the data feed of the models that we use to predict the results, and that these not only be fed with the results of our internal surveys. I know that they may try to fool us with false data, but at this point in the campaign we can no longer conduct surveys in that electoral market, and I think that with some necessary statistical adjustments, we can use the data that has already been published.
