My True Face
In the high mountains of solitude
Amidst the complicit darkness
And submerged deep in the ocean
of my memories
I have sought my true face
The one that mirrors do not reflect
I don't know if out of modesty
and by mutual agreement
With what hides from us the immense sun
Makes us see it far away
and brings us the bottomless night
so that we may rest
I sense it not so fleeting and perishable
I know it is already old
That it is not beautiful
And that it will never be contented
Because with tireless effort
it accumulates the scars of useless texts
that I forget and rewrite
about what I feel
Believe, sense
imagine, and think
Enclosed within
the ineffable universe
I believe that some machine will use it
Not so much to illustrate
But to decorate
The final version of this text
