The land of Xoroxloo Duxee
Nothing is worth
owning
and no one is more
than another
You can only inherit
honey
and gaze slowly
at the setting sun
in the land
of Xoroxloo Duxee
Perhaps you can hear
the stars singing
with the bushmen
on quiet nights
and you can feel
the wind stirring
the colonies
of flying ants
that call for the arrival
of the rains
and the magic that turns into colour
in the flowers of the savannah
The sun will tell you
the last stories
that patiently
evaporate
from the fountain of desires
that have survived
in the burning lands
of the Kalahari
Where drums beat
in the hearts
of the antelopes
and the dew of the stars
shines with beauty
in the eyes of giraffes
