Trying to fool them
Studying history
Looking for the moral of his tale

I wonder what the universe will look like
with insect eyes
and what is all this about
I know there is no explanation

We are more programmed than a bot
Dragged by the genes
--Free will is a mirage
in the river of DNA

Or at least 70%
The rest we learn from society
We inherit it and bequeath it
trying not to be out of tune

I have a narrator
in the left hemisphere of the brain
who makes stories
with what the right tells him

And today he told me this:
   It's all very simple:
      It's about not letting ourselves get screwed
      and protecting those we love

      The idolaters of freedom
      play the chips  on a board that goes
      from Ur of the Chaldeans
      to the last empire

      Only he who surrenders loses
      He who sows himself does not die
      Only he who persists wins
      Only this game is eternal
