SAND

 

SAND

Abandoned
among the dunes
it squeezes
in that other time
that seems to pass
slower
Where mirages
and shadows dried
by the sun
have resigned
to the solitude of the desert

On the seashore
it shines and dreams
of eternal things
Unearthing
and burying treasures
imagining castles
sighing tides
in its routine of moon and salt

Immersed in the depths
of the crystal
it looks at us from
a blind mirror
incapable of reflecting
how alien and indifferent
time can be
